How to Make a La Calabaza AI Dance Video
Put your cat, your dog, your friends or yourself in the La Calabaza dancing trio: which photos to use, which length to pick and how to post it.

To make a La Calabaza AI dance video you need one photo (up to three if you want different dancers), a Google account to sign in, and 6 to 20 credits depending on the length. You upload the photos, pick 6, 10 or 15 seconds, and a video usually takes about 3–5 minutes. You get three dancers in a row doing the La Calabaza routine, the middle one in a black cowboy hat, with the original La Calabaza sound already on it.
How to Make a La Calabaza AI Dance Video in 3 Steps
- Choose your dancers. Open the generator and sign in with Google. Photo 1 is required: that’s the middle dancer, the one in the cowboy hat. Photo 2 (left) and photo 3 (right) are optional. Use JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB each; big photos are shrunk in your browser before they upload.
- Pick a length and make it. Choose 15 seconds (20 credits), 10 seconds (13 credits) or 6 seconds (6 credits), tick the consent box (everyone shown is you or someone who agreed, all 18 or older, and no public figures; pets are fine), and press the button. You can leave the tab while it renders; the video shows up on the page when it’s ready.
- Download it and post it. You get a vertical 9:16 MP4 in 720p with the La Calabaza sound, saved to your account. Download it, or tap “Share to TikTok”.
One, Two or Three Photos?
How many photos you upload decides who dances where:
- Only photo 1: all three dancers are that person or pet, as identical triplets, just like the three kittens in the original.
- Photos 1 and 2: photo 1 dances in the middle, and photo 2 appears on both sides as twins.
- Photos 1, 2 and 3: three different dancers, with photo 1 in the middle.
You can mix people and pets, for example your cat in the cowboy hat with you and a friend on the sides. Each photo should show just one person or one pet.
Which Length Should You Pick?
- 15 seconds, the full dance (20 credits): the whole routine like the 14-second original. The La Calabaza sound plays from the very start, with its quiet intro, and the beat drops at 4.4 seconds.
- 10 seconds (13 credits): starts as the hands come up, and the beat drops about 2 seconds in.
- 6 seconds (6 credits): the short cut, with hands up, the drop 1 second in, the bounce and the lean.
How to Make Your Cat or Dog Dance
Pets work the same way as people. Upload a photo of your cat, dog or any other pet, and it stands up on its hind legs and dances with its front paws, the way the kittens do in the original. One pet photo gives you three of them in a row. Got more than one pet? Use one photo per pet for the middle, left and right spots.
Photo Tips for a Better Likeness
- One subject per photo. One person or one pet, not a group shot.
- Face clearly visible. Good light on the face and no sunglasses.
- Show the body. The whole body, or at least the upper body, gives the AI more to work with for the dance.
- No heavy filters. Beauty filters, stickers and another app’s watermark get in the way, and photos with another app’s watermark can be rejected by the video service.
- Your own photos. Photos of celebrities or public figures are rejected; you get your credits back, but no video.
What to Expect From the Result
- The dancers do the La Calabaza routine: standing still, hands up and waving, the beat drop with bouncing and hip swaying, a lean, a turn to show their backs, a turn back, and the middle dancer stepping up to the camera, punching to the beat.
- The AI makes up the background and lighting. It aims for the night roadside of the original, but it can sometimes keep the background of your photo instead.
- AI output varies from one render to the next, so a dancer may not look exactly like the photo.
- If a render fails, it’s retried once automatically at no extra cost. If it fails again, your credits go back to your account automatically.
Other Ways to Make the La Calabaza Video
- A CapCut template. The free templates animate one photo into one dancing pet or person, about 14 seconds long. You get one dancer, not the trio.
- Dance it yourself. Film the hand dance or the full routine to Pumpky’s sound, like the lightning balcony version. No AI needed, but you need two friends for the trio.
- This site. You get the original’s trio scene, three dancers with the cowboy hat in the middle, from 1 to 3 of your own photos, with the La Calabaza sound already on it and no editing app.
Posting Your La Calabaza Video
- The video is already vertical 9:16, the format of TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
- The sound is already in the video, the same audio as the TikTok sound “sonido original - Pumpky”.
- “Share to TikTok” copies a caption for you. Use the tags people search, like #lacalabaza, #lacalabazatrend, #lacalabazadance and #lacalabazatiktok.
- Turn on TikTok’s AI-generated label before you post.
- Keep it personal. The sound belongs to its owners, so the video is for sharing on your own social accounts, not for ads or other commercial use.
La Calabaza AI Dance Video FAQ
Why are there three of my pet? With only one photo, the AI makes identical triplets, the way the original has three kittens. Add a second photo for twins on the sides, or a third for three different dancers.
How long does it take? Usually about 3–5 minutes. You don’t have to keep the page open: the video is saved to your account and shows up on the page when it’s ready.
How much does a La Calabaza AI dance video cost? 6 credits for 6 seconds, 13 for 10 seconds and 20 for the full 15 seconds. Packs start at $9.90 for 20 credits (one full video), and the daily check-in adds 1, 1, 1, 1, then 2 credits, enough for one free 6-second video after five check-ins.
Can I use my video in an ad or on a business account? No. Every video carries an excerpt of the La Calabaza sound, and all rights in it stay with its owners, so the video is for personal, non-commercial sharing.
Will it look exactly like my photo? Not always. The AI uses your photo for the dancer’s look, but results vary, and the background and lighting are made up by the AI.
